The sharp red scarf is Han's memory of youth. The artist himself remembers wearing the same clothing and using the same heartfelt voices like the students in his paintings, when he was small; the students extol the motherland in the competition.

After leaving primary school, this type of extolling was still a part of school life in secondary school and university. Because of the change of society, the artist felt that the people, extolling, were vapid and attitudinizing. The form and content of this kind of extolling is still here but the meaning is changing. The extolling people are not able to find their heartfelt voices in their green era anymore.
