The recent series of Li Dapeng is about Pig that is popular among the people. In Li's paintings, pigs live like human beings; they do every human thing and keep smiling on their faces. Moreover, Li believes that there is an element of comedy with symbol of happiness, which should be accepted by the majority. Perhaps Li Dapeng implies that Art has to response to people's needs; there are real and rich energy, and solid friendliness among the people. As a result, he chooses to make Art with the matter of what he is familiar with and in the environment, where he grew up. The artist should also be a philosopher; the philosophical concept should lead the artistic concept.
