LEE Pik-wai, Louise

BIOGRAPHY

Humans are the essences of Louise Lee's creations. She deeply captures the living states of humans in different conditions. She does not tell the stories of humans uproariously or make them public intentionally; she tries to settle the emotions first, and then let the stories appear on people's faces.

Lee uses humans and human relationships under different conditions as the main themes of her creations. Her works demonstrate the happiness of welcoming newborn baby of women who have multiple identities; and the anxiety and stress brought by the newborn baby when the baby enters a mother's living. As females are growing up, they experience the stages of love, marriage and bearing. After being mothers, females change their lives completely. Under awakening of mother love, females devote themselves to their children with endless love and return to the root and the most original feminine status.
