Although the feminine
social position has already been correspondingly promoted nowadays,
some concepts, rooted in culture, politics and history are still covered
in the masculine shadow. As the world changes in every second, male
and female are standing above the swinging world balance. While females
are striving for their sovereignty, they are still full of confusion.
With her exquisite and sensitive mind, Mia expresses all sorts of the puzzled feelings which modern females face. Young girls dress up brightly and fashionably. They are not trying to please anyone but to please themselves. Women are awakening; however, they still realize the difficult position they face at the same time. Those girls, who have lost their facial expressions, only open their mouths and look like the "aphasiac", standing and waiting for a long time in the riotous world center, and sending out their silent complaints. Modern females are trying to breakthrough the male domination diligently; however, they are often absent in the public domain simultaneously and often lack of right to speak in daily life. In Mia's paintings, the opening mouth tries to speak but hesitate. Indeed, the layered oppression, restlessness and helplessness, which women always face, are hiding behind the bright semblance. |
