WONG Yuet

BIOGRAPHY

Wong Yuet (Basil) persists in using different kinds of media, from the early plain drawing to deduction of synthetic materials. His works demonstrate and interpret a stronger motif by experimenting materials.

Figures appear solitarily or in a group, confined in a vague and unknown area. They stand, lie, lean against object, wait, or escape. Images interlace hazily; hence, appearances of figures become very odd.

He expresses his concern about humanity; the tension of how people build up the community is strong. The complicated interpersonal state in modern metropolis is stalemated and aloof. In addition, the rapacity, love and hate of human beings are constrained, suppressed and become fragmented.
