Blossom Falls.Blossom Flies - solo exhibition of Wu Xue
Period: 13 ~ 27.5.2008
Fickleness, loneliness, confusions and virtualization are commonly found in modern people. The artist, Wu Xue uses a flower as a symbol of modern people, especially women, who enjoy and seek crazily for materials. They do have strong desires towards material things; however, their loneliness and sadness are concealed behind vanity. Wu tries to explore where the final destination of our hearts in this metropolis is. Moreover, she simply uses a flash of feeble light to express a hidden hope and ideal.

"ENDLESS" - featuring artworks from a local artist - Lee Pik-wai, Louise. Being a female, a mother and an artist, Louise Lee expresses the subject matter of mother love perfectly through the exquisite feeling as a woman, her love towards her child and sensitive perception of an artist. She scans and examines calmly the harmony and conflict between people under different identity. The artworks of Lee can be recognized as the whisper of a mother towards her beloved child.

Amy Tai's works show a really bright atmosphere and extensity; through the concise geometric structures, she rearranges the interrelationship between things. Furthermore, Tai transforms her feelings towards things into adjustment of beauty. By using the method of geometry, Tai tries to find a way out for her mind within the space.

Through recreating images of living in paintings, local contemporary artist, Naomi Wong expresses her concern about people and humanism. Moreover, Wong experiences the world with her soul, just like blood circulating in the body with temperature. She uses the "anchor" of feeling to capture the images, which touch her soul very much in this changeful universe.
